We have managed to track our business "family" history back at least 250 years, here in Winsford. Fowles Builders and Funeral directors, as we were then, have always had deep links in the community. We were commissioned to build the Guild Hall on the High Street,in 1897 at a cost of £3000. The above photo is of the original plans and an artist impression of how it looks today. A little later on in 1957, there weren't many a sign writers in Winsford, so my Grandad Arthur (Above) made his own sign, and even gave himself a coat of arms and moto. The originals of these photos can be seen on the walls of our premises on Delamere Street.
